Golden orange leaves litter the yard.
Sleet blew in on the cold October breezes this morning.
Better Half turned on the heat.
And, I gathered, what will surely be, my last buckets of zinnias from the garden.
How I shall miss these these gaudy blooms!
What day brighteners they have been!
