A Spring First

Can SPRING be far behind?   This huge dandelion seed head greeted me as I took a walk at lunchtime along the Ohio River.  There it sat, sparkling in the sunshine.  You can see the yellow faded blooms in the clover beneath it. I resisted the childlike urge to pluck it and twirl it in between my hands, launching the fluffy white seed heads into the air to be carried away by the almost spring breezes.
